How to install Cub Linux on VirtualBox?

The Cub Linux (Chromium OS) a Ubuntu Linux-based operating system. It was designed for desktop appearance and functionality of Chrome OS that is the combination of Chromium + Ubuntu that is much effective and interesting to use. Especially, its features and Google Apps that is integrated, like Google Drive, Chrome, Search, Web Apps that can be done by a click (Mentioned below).  Also, my idea about the operating system is, some of the features has also been imported form MacOS like the dock style.  So let’s take a look at how to install Cub Linux on VirtualBox. But before that, you have to download the source files to install it.

  1. VirtuBox 5.1.8
  2. Cub Linux ISO

After downloading both of them, you have to install VirtualBox and for installing that you have to follow these steps.

Create New Virtual Machine

After downloading and installing VirtualBox, you need to create a new Virtual Machine. So follow these steps:

Step #1. Launch VirtualBox after installing.

Step #2. Click New and you will be direct to Create Virtual Machine Wizard.

Step #3. Give a name for the virtual Machine and click next.

Step #4. Specify the memory size for the Virtual Machine.

Step #5. In Hard Disk option select Create a Virtual Hard Disk now and click next.

Step #6. For Hard Disk File type, select VDI and click Next.

Step #7. In Storage on Hard Disk, select, Dynamically allocated and click next.

Step #8. In file location and size select your Hard size and the location and click Create.

Installing The Cub Linux

After creating a new Virtual Machine, We need to install it. SO follow these steps to install.

Step #1. Start the Virtual Machine.

Step #2. The first screen Popup windows will appear. In this small window, you have to select the ISO which you have downloaded from Cub Linux Website.

Step #3. After selecting the ISO, wait for a minute the Cub Linux Logo and codes should disappear. After that, you will be in the welcome screen, select install Cub Linux.

Step #4. In Preparing to install Cub, check both options and click continue.

Step #5. In installation type, you have four options. Select the Erase Disk and install Cub. After that it will ask form, are you sure you want to erase the disk. Click continue and go on.

Step #6. Here you have to select the country where do you live and click continue.

Step #7. Select the keyboard and click continue.

Step #8. In this window, you have the insert the data for the Cuc Linux and click continue.

Step #9. After that, it will copy and install the files. When it is done the restart option will appear, click restart. and you will be in Cub Linux screen.
