How to Install Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 on VMware?

Posted in Article, Mac8 months ago • Written by NyazNo Comments

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install mac os x el capitan on VMware workstation. OS X El Capitan (version 10.11) is the twelfth major release of OS X (now named macOS), Apple Inc.’s desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. It is the successor to OS X Yosemite and focuses mainly on performance, stability and security. Following the California landmark-based naming scheme introduced with OS X Mavericks, El Capitan was named after a rock formation in Yosemite National Park, signifying its goal to be a refined version of Yosemite. El Capitan is the final version to be released under the name OS X; its successor, Sierra, was announced as macOS Sierra.

System Requirements

Your PC must meet the following minimum system factors

  • 2GB Memory(RAM)
  • Number of Processors: 2
  • Hard Disk: 80GB
  • Graphics memory: 256 MB

Requirement for VMware

You need the VMware Unlocker tool. OS X support is built in to every VMware hypervisor product, but it’s coded to prevent exposing it unless you’re running on Apple hardware. The unlocker program hacks the VMware binary to open up the OS X guest features.

Adding Apple Guest OS in VMware:

Download Unlocker208 from here and extract, then Right mouse on ‘win-install.cmd’  > Run As Administrator.
