Overlaying other effects, such as gradient, blend option in illustrator, zig zag tool in illustrator, pucker, and bloat in illustrator. How to Create 3D Objects in Illustrator?
In this tutorial, we’re going to work on blend options and some effects like zig zag and pucker & bloat in Illustrator. This is simple but looks awesome like 3D objects. But in this case, we don’t touch the 3D. Suppose How to 3D mesh geometric object in Illustrator CC (Tutorial). If you want to make objects look 3D in Illustrator.
First of all. Create a new document with any size, or draw a new layer inside your artwork to any size, then fill it with any color you would like. This depends on you.
And. Click on artwork or draw the star with the radius 1 and radius 2, But the points 8. No matter whether the points is less or more. And pick the direct selection tool, draw around the star and then change the corners: 29.83 px. And align it to the artboard.
And. Duplicate twice the object, fill them with the different colors or gradient colors. If you wanted to add gradient, you have put the stroke more than this to look clearly.
And also. Select all of them, go to Object > Blend > Blend options, the spacing: specified steps 50 or 60, Orientation: Align to page and not align to path.

And. Select blend flower and go to Effect > Distort & transform > Pucker & bloat. Bloat 90% or give -90%, just draw towards the pucker & Bloat.
And also. Again go to Effect > distort & transform > Zig zags, Edit options, points.
In addition. Visible the flower mesh geometric object, go to Object > Blend > Blend options, and add more line and change the specified steps 200 or 300, Orientation: align to page.
Finally. If you don’t agree with this setting, and it’s not looking awesome, don’t worry you can modify it easily, just click on appearance panel and see the effects that you applied, and click on any effect to edit and modify it from this face to that face just in second. One essential thing is this that you need to add the proper colors for the 3D mesh flower. Then it’ll look bright.
